On the weekend of the 4th-5th Feburary Games Makers will have an orientation session to give us better insight into both the Olympic and Paralympic games sports, venues, and job roles. Later in the year we will have more job specific training as part of the medical team to learn our specific roles and venue specific training to help orientate ourselves with the facilities before the Olympics begin.
What are you most looking forward to?: Meeting new people, learning more about the events I'm at and picking up new skills and knowledge form the rest of the medical team. I think it will be an amazing atmosphere and I'm looking forward to being a part if it and hopefully getting a change to have a peek at the races themselves.
If you could see one event at London 2012, what would it be?: It will be great to see any of the events as you will be watching the best in the world at the top of their game. Personally I love big sporting events like the Olympics, for the chance to see some of the sports that don't normally get much coverage, I really enjoy watching swimming and especially diving events so I will be hunting for a TV when the 10m diving is on (or at very least setting my TV recorder!)
